Where are all the command line tools?

by markc » Mon Jun 13, 2016 3:58 pm

I've read the quick start information from the sticky topic, but I'm familiar with the old KAP command line tools like wxprobe, wxsubmit, etc.

Where can I find them now?

The old command line tools still exist - typically you will have installed Kognitio on Hadoop as a user. In our example, let's say that was as the kohadmin user.

After you create a Kognitio cluster with "kodoop create cluster myclustername", you can find the command line tools appropriate for that cluster in ~kohadmin/kodoop/clusters/myclustername/wx2/current/bin. So putting that directory in your path will allow you to pick up the tools automatically.

% kodoop mgr <cluster-id> shell
Will dump you into a shell with your path setup to point at the version of the wx* tools used by the cluster.
