Crossloader fails with PI0183 as using private IP address

by markc » Wed Nov 12, 2014 11:11 am

In AWS, we are using a single node source system, and a multinode destination system for the CROSSLOAD connector, and we got a PI0183 error.

The serverdbg file on the single node source system had the following message:

T_2014-11-12_08:06:46_GMT: RS 2 S 14 R 1190010 LO:Script stderr: /opt/kognitio/wx2/current/software/Linux/wxdistload: failed to connect to load co-ordinator 10.0.0.1:52254 0, errno 115 (Operation now in progress)

We suspect the problem arises because the source (single node) is trying to send the data to the destination (multinode) using the private rather than public IP address.

How do we make it communicate via the public IP address instead?

You need to use the “subnets” target string attribute when creating the external connector, as mentioned at http://www.kognitio.com/forums/Crossloa ... nector.pdf

Note that the subnets should be set to include addresses in BOTH the source and destination systems.
