I get RS0001/RS0007/PM0007 but RAM is not full

by anonymous2 » Thu Jul 18, 2013 10:50 am

I can see my system's RAM is about 70% full, yet when I try to add more data to RAM I get RS0001 or other errors indicating I have run out of memory. I even get an error when I try to drop an image. What can I do to recover other than "create system image", or restart without recovery of memory images?

Due to changes allowing fast system restarts, the current technology preview only allows table/view images to fill 70% of RAM at the moment (as detailed in the release notes).

We expect this threshold to increase in a future release.

In the interim, if attempts to drop images give out-of-memory errors, you could try "RECLAIM SYSTEM TABLE RAM" to recover RAM used by deleted system table rows, followed by "RECLAIM SYSTEM TABLES ROWS AND RAM" to delete orphan system table rows and free up their RAM usage.
