My attempt to commission errors

by markc » Thu Jan 23, 2014 3:22 pm

I'm attempting to commission a 1 node Kognitio system.

The commissioning process shows this error - what does it mean:

FATAL ERROR: 2 slabs - WX2 partitions are too small at 1847296 logical sectors

The problem is that your disk resource is too small - Kognitio requires a disk resource to be split up into 0.5GB for a system slab (for system table records), 0.5GB for a logging slab (logging of connections, transactions and commands), and some disk space for user data.

This is logical disk space, so if you have software RAID enabled on a multi-node system you will need to ensure this space is available after RAID has been taken into account.

To proceed, remove the old disk resource, add a bigger one, and commission again.
