How do I use wxtool?

by markc » Thu Jul 10, 2014 1:19 pm

I've seen the wxtool command mentioned at e.g. http://www.kognitio.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=51. How can I find out more about this command?

Running "wxtool -h" will give you basic information on the command.

At its most basic level, it lets you target an operation at a number of nodes in the system. This operation can run a command, manipulate files, or show other information.

Section 8.2 of the Configuration and Maintenance manual, available via http://www.kognitio.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3 for version 8, explains how the targetting of commands works.

The most common operation is using "-S" to run a command on a set of nodes and see the output.
