If you run ‘wxsubmit’ without any arguments you will see a series of help options:

wxadmin wxadmin@wxsupp02-ap1-rack4-enc0-12:~> wxsubmit
For help on help (this display), type 'help;' or 'help help;'
For help on general usage, type 'help usage;'
For help on command editing, type 'help editing;'
For help on input redirection, type 'help input;'
For help on output redirection, type 'help output;'
For help on query and connection control, type 'help query;'
For help on result formatting, type 'help format;'
For help on invocation options, type 'help options;'
For help on scripting and variables, type 'help script;'
For all help categories (in above order), type 'help all;'

Type ‘help output’ from within wxsubmit to see options on manipulating the output streams:

>help output;
Output can be directed to other destinations than the default, stdout.
The command to control this follows:

set out/put {mon/itor | row/s | time/s | all | monplus | allplus}
{nul/l | off | stdout | on | stderr | <filename>}
This command controls the output streams separately or as a unit. The monitor
stream receives all echoed commands, all error messages, and all explain and
picture output. Help output is also directed to the monitor stream.
The times stream receives the query result line, which contains the current
query name and number, the number of rows affected or result code (RETCODE)
if an error occurred, and up to four times. The first is query compilation
if prepare mode is on. The second is query execution (including compilation
if prepare mode is off). The third is the time for execution plus the return
of the first result row in the case of a select query. The fourth is the time
for execution, return of all result rows, and closing the cursor. The rows
stream receives all actual results from a select query, including a header.

A stream is suppressed by setting it to 'off' or 'null', or it can be directed
to stdout, stderr, or any path/file desired. Multiple streams can be directed
to the same target. All streams can be redirected by using the target
all (or allplus). If either monplus or allplus is used, then the specified
redirection takes place, and in addition all 'monitor' output except explain /
picture will be output to the stderr device (normally the screen).

To disable the query timings output type ‘set out time off’ from within wxsubmit. The following example shows the output before and after the change:

wxadmin wxadmin@wxsupp02-ap1-rack4-enc0-12:~> wxsubmit -s wxsupp02
