How can I map an mpid to a node

by markc » Tue Feb 10, 2015 2:40 pm

I can run a query to see e.g. what ram store data will be skewed towards using hash_mpid(hash_value(value)), but how can I map ram store mpid information to a node?

In the SYS schema, IPE_PROCESS has a row per mpid, and a PROCESSOR_NR field which you can join to IPE_NODEINFO.NODE_NR to get at things like WX2_NODE_NAME and NODE_POSITION.

You can use this for other purposes too - e.g. listing node information for all nodes controlling disk resources, as shown below:

select n.wx2_node_name, p.*
from ipe_process p, ipe_nodeinfo n
where type = 'ds' and p.processor_nr = n.node_nr
order by mpid
