Creating View without base table or view

by dinesh4321 » Thu Jun 11, 2015 11:19 am

Hi Team,

In Orcale we have "FORCE" command to create a view without base table or base view being exist.
I don't find any options to create the same on KOGNITIO.

Is the same option available in KOGNITIO also or not?

Example: In oracle

Thanks.

In the current version of Kognitio it is not possible to create invalidated views (i.e. ones where the underlying query cannot currently be run without error).

In the next major version, the "CREATE INVALIDATED VIEW" syntax will be available, primarily to allow restore to put invalidated views back in place. This will allow you to run commands like the following even when t23 does not exist:

>create invalidated view v1 as select * from t23;
Query 1 Complete ---- 0:00.1 0:00.1 0:00.1
