Information Week Magazine Names Kognitio as One of “16 Top Big Data Analytics Platforms”
NEW YORK, February 11, 2014 — Kognitio, driving the convergence of Big Data, in-memory analytics and cloud computing, today announced its inclusion in InformationWeek magazine’s feature, naming the Kognitio Analytical Platform as one the “16 Top Big Data Analytics Platforms.”
The magazine said that Kognitio “steps up in-memory analysis,” noting that Kognitio “has long supported RAM-intensive deployments and provides the administrative ability to run analyses and processes in memory.” The article also says, “Kognitio has put an even bigger emphasis on in-memory analysis, and it has developed an integration with the Hortonworks Data Platform that supports in-memory SQL analysis on top of Hadoop.”
“Being named as one of the top platforms in an increasingly competitive field is a high honor,” said Steve Millard, Kognitio president and chief executive officer. “As more companies discover the value of True In-MemorySM for advanced analytics and data science, they understand what Kognitio brings to the table. This greater awareness has led to increased sales, as organizations leverage our platform to take their big data projects off the drawing board and into production.”Millard noted that Kognitio has recorded double-digit year-over-year and quarter-over-quarter sales growth, demonstrating growing market presence.
The Kognitio Analytical Platform is a True In-Memory, Massively Parallel Processing (MPP) relational database management system (RDBMS), optimized for analytical workloads. It gives companies of all sizes the power to query massive amounts of Big Data and returns answers in a fraction of the time of competing solutions, enabling users to achieve greater insight based on actionable results.
